COMMENT: Solar activity is situated in the northern hemisphere. A C1
flare erupted from NOAA 11421 (Cat 50) yesterday around 08h40 UT. This

flare was associated with a relatively narrow CME. Since the CME is
traveling above the ecliptic, we do not expect any geomagnetic
consequences from it. Next, a filament erupted at the west limb
yesterday around 17UT, leading to a westward CME. Again no geomagnetic

consequences are expected. Today, a C4.1 flare erupted from new Active

region NOAA 11421 (Cat 51), peaking at 05:09UT. Active region NOAA 11422

that appeared yesterday is evolving rapidly and is expected to produce

more C-flares. We therefore expect low to moderate solar conditions for

the next 24 hours. Geomagnetic conditions were unsettled to active
during the past night, due to the passage of a southern coronal hole. We

expect quiet geomagnetic conditions to return.

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 047, BASED ON 14 STATIONS.
