PLAIN
NOTE: the above forecasts are valid from 1230UT, 13 Feb 2012 until 15 Feb
2012
PREDICTIONS FOR 13 Feb 2012 10CM FLUX: 110 / AP: 011
PREDICTIONS FOR 14 Feb 2012 10CM FLUX: 112 / AP: 011
PREDICTIONS FOR 15 Feb 2012 10CM FLUX: 115 / AP: 007
COMMENT: Solar activity is low. The X-ray flux is at B-level and the
biggest flare in the last 24h was a C3.9 flare at 14:43 UT yesterday,
originating in NOAA AR 1419 which is turning onto the disk. This active

region currently has a beta configuration, but has produced M-flares
during its previous rotation (then named NOAA AR 1402). We expect
C-class flares with a chance for an M-class event.
No earth-directed CMEs were observed during the past 24h. Due to the
arrival of a CH wind stream the solar wind speed has been slightly
elevated (increasing to ~400 km/s) since yesterday morning. The magnetic

field remained positive and the local K-index at Dourbes reached a value

of 3. Unsettled to active geomagnetic conditions are possible later
today and tomorrow in case of arrival of the ICME arrival from the event

on February 10.

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 049, BASED ON 14 STATIONS.
