COMMENT: Solar activity is expected to be eruptive within the next 24
hours, with high chances for C-flares, and a slight chance for an
M-flare. The main region producing flares is NOAA AR 11389, which has
produced a few C flares in the past 24 hours.
The partial halo CME detected first by LASCO C2 on January 1, 13:36 UT

was a backsided event, and is not expected to be geo-effective.
Geomagnetic conditions are expected to remain mostly quiet during the
coming days, with possible effects from a coronal hole high speed wind

stream.
