COMMENT: Flaring activity almost reached the M-level. C-flaring
activity will continue. The geomagnetic conditions are quiet. Part of
the filament in the northern hemisphere near the central meridian
disappeared. A first part was ejected on Dec 24 from 23:29UT. From Dec
25, 06:29 UT another part of the filament rose and was ejected. Based on
STEREO A/B COR2 data, we estimated a speed between 400 and 500 km/s for
the ejection around midnight. The second ejection was less powerful.
Since the filament was located near the central meridian, the CME's are
Earth directed. The arrival of the CME's is expected in 3 to 4 days.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 067, BASED ON 05 STATIONS.
