COMMENT: Thirteen sunspot groups are reported by Catania today. Several

of them are growing and producing persistent flaring activity on the
C-class level. The strongest flare during the last 24 hours was the C9.2

flare peaking at 20:51 UT in Catania sunspot group 75 (NOAA AR 1297). We

expect more C-class flares, and an M-class flare is very probable. The

Earth is currently inside a slow (around 460 km/s) solar wind flow with

average (4 nT) interplanetary magnetic field magnitude. We expect quiet

geomagnetic conditions in the next 24 hours.

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 128, BASED ON 12 STATIONS.
