PREDICTIONS FOR 07 Sep 2011 10CM FLUX: 119 / AP: 010

COMMENT: Solar activity is still at active levels. An M5.3 flare was
released today by NOAA AR 11283 with peak time 01:50 UT, which caused a

type II radio burst and rising proton levels (staying well below the
threshold though). From the west limb, NOAA AR 11282 produced a C9.2
flare with peak time 06:23 UT. More M flares are possible, especially
from NOAA AR 11283 and 11282 with risks for proton events.
The M5.3 flare was accompanied by a CME which was observed by LASCO as

well as COR2 A and B. Since this CME is not Earth-directed, we expect at

most minor geomagnetic effects, and not before 12 UT on September 9.
Geomagnetic conditions are quiet and expected to remain so for the next

48 hours.

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 058, BASED ON 10 STATIONS.
