COMMENT: A X6.9 flare peaked at 08:05 this morning from NOAA AR 1263,
now at the solar West limb. Proton flux alert thresholds where exceeded.
The event was associated with a Type II burst (1550km/s). STEREO beacon
data confirm the presence of a CME at a speed larger than 1000km/s.
Presumably this event will trigger geomagnetic activity early Aug 11.
This will be confirmed as more data comes in.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 044, BASED ON 14 STATIONS.
