NOTE: the above forecasts are valid from 1230UT, 29 Jul 2011 until 31 Jul
2011
PREDICTIONS FOR 29 Jul 2011 10CM FLUX: 107 / AP: 006
PREDICTIONS FOR 30 Jul 2011 10CM FLUX: 109 / AP: 010
PREDICTIONS FOR 31 Jul 2011 10CM FLUX: 111 / AP: 007
COMMENT: NOAA AR 1260 and 1261 (Catania 43 and 44) have produced over
20 C-class flares in the last day (the strongest being a C4.1 peaking at

01:06 UT from AR 1260). They will certainly produce more. NOAA AR 1263

just rotated over the east limb and is showing a complex configuration

and large area, it has already started producing C-class flares. These

three ARs, especially 1260, can produce M flares. Geomagnetic conditions

are quiet, the fast solar wind from the coronal hole has not arrived
yet. It can still do so, but it probably was too high in latitude to
reach the ecliptic plane. There was a large backsided CME at 19:00 UT on

July 28, a few hours later (02:24 UT) a small eruption is seen by COR2

onboard STEREO, apparently directed to the east but more data is needed

to completely discard the possibility of an encounter with the Earth.
