COMMENT: Two C-class flares occurred late on May 26. The first one,
peaking at 21h03 was a C1.1 flare. The second one a C1.4 flare peaking
at 21h58. Both originated from the region that was numbered as Cat 93
today. No clear CME was seen in SOHO/LASCO or STEREO/SECCHI that can be
associated to these events. However, a faint earth-directed CME was
observed by SECCHI yesterday starting around 13h09. It is probably
linked to a filament eruption in the NE quadrant. There is a small
chance for more C-flaring activity in the coming days.
Geomagnetic conditions are currently quiet. They can become unsettled
to active on may 27-28 due to the arrival of a fast coronal wind stream
from a recurrent coronal hole.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 032, BASED ON 14 STATIONS.
