COMMENT: Catania sunspot group 90 (NOAA AR 1218) produced a C1.2 flare
peaking at 12:59 UT yesterday. More C-class flares are possible in this
active region. Catania sunspot group 79 (NOAA AR 1208) that produced a
C2.0 flare yesterday has rotated behind the west solar limb. Another
C-flare from this active region is unlikely. The Earth is currently
inside a slow (around 400 km/s) solar wind flow with average (around 4
nT) interplanetary magnetic field magnitude. We expect quiet geomagnetic
conditions in the coming hours.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 024, BASED ON 10 STATIONS.
