COMMENT: Solar activity is increasing with NOAA active regions 1195 and

1196 turning over the east limb. These ARs were the source of 4 C-flares

since yesterday evening. The biggest one was a C8.5 flare peaking at
09h48 this morning. A C4.0 flare yesterday evening at 19h39 was
associated with a disappearing filament, nicely imaged by PROBA2/SWAP.

The STEREO/COR2 and LASCO chronograph images do not show any clear CME

linked to any of these C flares, though LASCO suffers from data gaps.
However, LASCO did observe a CME at 05h24 yesterday morning in the NE
quadrant, most probably originating from the AR just behind the limb
there.
Geomagnetic conditions have returned to quiet levels and are expected
to remain so for the coming days. The solar wind speed is currently
around 440 km/s and the total magnetic field has a value of 4nT.

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 056, BASED ON 17 STATIONS.
