COMMENT: There have been five C-class flares in the last 24h, from NOAA

AR 1190, the strongest one was a C3.1 flare at 6:07 UT. This region has

potential for more C- and, less likely, M-class flares. There was a
west-limb CME, seen first at 23:05 UT in LASCO-C2 and related to a large

prominence eruption occurring about 30 minutes earlier. Even though the

bulk of the eruption seems to be traveling towards the west, STEREO
images show that it has a component in the direction of the Earth.
Therefore, a hit at Earth can not be discarded, probably only a shock
will be seen. A minor storm (Kp=5) occurred between 6:00 and 9:00 UT due

to a long lasting Bz of -10nT, related to a fast solar wind stream from

the northern extension of the south polar coronal hole. A glancing blow

of a previous CME could also be present in the data, it's difficult to

say due to the low density values measured at ACE. Geomagnetic
conditions are expected to be unsettled to active for the next 24h
