Oh dear! More supposition and day dreaming from Warren. I don't know about
conditions in your country Warren as far as politicians are concerned but
you remarks are wide of the mark as far as pollies' salaries here are
concerned.
From memory our state politicians earn around $120 000 a year plus and
expense account. The Premier of the State earns about twice that at around
$250 000. Among our pollies are doctors, lawyers, businessmen. Have you
ever heard of a lawyer or a doctor that earns only $120 000 a year. No,
neither have I. As a CEO of a company many of the politicians have skills
which would allow them to take a job as CEO of a company on a salary
around the million mark and in some cases more.
I am talking about my state but I doubt that other states are much
different.There is also a hazard in being a politician and that is that
the job is not permanent. With elections every 3 or 4 years a politician,
unless he or she is in a safe seat, faces an uncertain future.He cold
lose his seat in three or four years in an election.
Let's have a little commonsense in discussion not biassed and unfounded
comments like that. Maybe your pollies are different, Warren but don't
judge ours that way. Not even worthy of a frog. Have a tadpole instead.

grid. The government already reduces pensioner payments according to
their income and resources so that's not saying anything we haven't known
for a long time.
