Hi Barry and all,

I guess from reading my post you know I'm highly suspicious of that bit 
about letting a house burn just because it has solar panels, I DID say I 
SMELL A RAT. Nope, firemen are anything BUT wimps!

You mentioned something about putting a small installation on the $8000 
subsidy but I think you have your terms mixed up. Recently I've spoken to 
a VK2 about that very thing and his reason for not installing solar is he 
can't afford the $8000. That looks to me more like a rebate, that being 
"cash back" after the initial outlay while a subsidy is a paralell 
payment to defray the homeowner's cost of the installation.

Please correct me if I'm wrong because it looks like one of us is using 
the wrong term.
