COMMENT: Solar activity is high and will remain so for the coming days.
NOAA AR 1158 has produced eight C-class flares and one M-class flare in
the last 24h. This M6.6 flare peaking at 17:38 UT on February 13 was
associated with a faint Earth directed CME that could arrive to the
Earth around February 16. There were type II and IV radio bursts related
to this flare. Geomagnetic activity is expected to be at quiet levels
today. There is a chance that tomorrow a recurrent fast solar wind
stream will arrive to the Earth, but the coronal hole has shrunk with
respect to the previous rotation.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 057, BASED ON 08 STATIONS.
