Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity
SDF Number 090 Issued at 2200Z on 30 Mar 2008
IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 29/2100Z
to 30/2100Z: Solar activity was very low. The three spotted regions
on the disk continue to be stable and are generally declining.
IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be
predominantly very low. There is, however, a chance for an isolated
C-class event during the next three days (31 March - 02 April).
IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 29/2100Z to 30/2100Z:
The geomagnetic field was mostly quiet to unsettled during the past
24 hours. There was one isolated active period from 0000-0300Z. The
greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit was at high
levels.
IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is
expected to be quiet to unsettled for the first day (31 March) and
should be generally quiet for the second and third days (01-02
April).
III. Event Probabilities 31 Mar-02 Apr
