COMMENT: Solar activity is expected to reach eruptive levels for the
next 48 hours. A M1.7 class flare was observed on March 25th, with a
peak time at 18:56UT. It occurred in NOAA AR 0989 located at that time
on the east limb and it was associated with a fast CME ( about 900
km/s). There is a small chance of M-class flare activity from this
region. Geomagnetic activity is expected to reach active levels during
the next 48 hours due to a recurrent coronal hole. Current conditions
(12:30 UT) show that the Earth may be entering the fast solar wind
stream associated with this coronal hole. Isolated periods of minor
storm conditions are possible.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 041, BASED ON 06 STATIONS.
