PREDICTIONS FOR 12 Oct 2010 10CM FLUX: 075 / AP: 010
PREDICTIONS FOR 13 Oct 2010 10CM FLUX: 075 / AP: 004
PREDICTIONS FOR 14 Oct 2010 10CM FLUX: 075 / AP: 004
COMMENT: A filament located in the south east of the solar disk erupted
late on Oct 10. In SOHO/LASCO images, the CME is seen as a partial CME.
In STEREO Ahead/Behind COR2 it is seen from aside. The speed calculated
from STEREO Ahead images, is 300 km/s; from STEREO Behind images, 340
km/s. A glancing blow is expected on Oct 16. The Earth will probably
pass only through the shock heading before the plasma cloud. A short
period of geomagnetic disturbances is possible.
Yesterday, we passed through a magnetic cloud associated with a
filament eruption on Oct 06. The Bz was strongly negative for a long
period with a minor geomagnetic storm as a consequence.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 008, BASED ON 16 STATIONS.
