COMMENT: Two sunspot groups currently visible on the solar disc
(Catanie numbers 93 and 95, NOAA ARs 1084 and 1086 respectively) are
unlikely to produce a C-flare. A possibly Earth-directed CME was
detected this morning by SECCHI/COR2 onboard both STEREO spacecraft,
starting from around 04:00 UT. It was most probably associated with the

eruption of a small filament situated around N43E25 (as observed by
SOHO/EIT). The CME plane-of-the-sky speed (measured in the data taken by

both STEREO spacecraft) is around 300 km/s. The associated ICME may
arrive to the Earth on July 10, with a resulting geomagnetic disturbance

possible. The Earth is currently inside the slow (380 km/s) solar wind

flow with weak (2 nT) interplanetary magnetic field magnitude. We expect

quiet geomagnetic conditions in the next 48 hours.

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 015, BASED ON 18 STATIONS.
