COMMENT: A small sunspot group emerged near the West limb, but should
not produce significant activity. The solar wind is still slow, near
400km/s, but a recurrent fast solar wind stream is expected later today
March 6 or tomorrow. It is associated with a large coronal hole now
rotating into a geoeffective position 30° West of central meridian. This
stream will produce unsettled to active geomagnetic conditions for 2 or
3 days. A brief minor geostorm may occur.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 008, BASED ON 05 STATIONS.
