COMMENT: Solar activity is expected to be very low during the next 48
hours. Geomagnetic activity is expected to be quiet to unsettled, with
indeed risks of isolated periods of unsettled conditions during the next
48 hours. Geomagnetic activity recorded at planetary levels showed
lengthly periods of unsettled conditions during the last 24 hours, with
periods of minor storm conditions late on Feb. 29th. No Dourbes
measurements are currently available to confirm this trend at regional
levels. The Earth is still within the influence of a fast solar wind
stream emanating from a coronal hole. Strong excursions of the
interplanetary magnetic field have been observed in the last 24 hours,
but they seem to diminish.
