Looking at the sunspot numbers through the last month I can see why 20
metres was a dead duck when I went north on my holiday. 20 metres? zilch!
40 metres? Wall to wall Indonesians some of which didn't worry about what
sideband to use or whether they used a callsign. Did they have one?
 Of course the main Indonesian islands are closer to the Australian coast
where I was staying than is the east coast of Australia.

I remember the low in the early 1950s, surely this one must be worse.
