Obtaining graphics files & binary files from a remote BBS using:-
AUTO7P|7PLUS|7+
Please note that the start directory of the sever is always the
base directory of FbbDos, this is so that you do not need to specify
the full path of the file. All that is necessary is to specify the
directory where the file is located and the filename that you want.
For example, if you find a directory called `antenna` and in that
directory is a file called `hf3.gif`, then you would use the following
commands to have the BBS send you that file using `auto7p`.
The parts in square brackets [] are optionally.
SP AUTO7P
antenna\hf3.gif
/ex
The BBS will then encode the file and send it to your homebbs provided
that the BBS knows who you are.
Some more examples are:
SP AUTO7P [@ BBS ]
UTILITY\TEST.COM
[AUTO7P TO ..... ]
[AUTO7P PART ... ]
/ex
The user, or other FBB, request a correction file.
--------------------------------------------------
SP AUTO7P [@ BBS]
UTILITY\TEST.ERR
[AUTO7P PART ... ]
[AUTO7P TO ..... ]
......
CONTENTS OF THE ERROR FILE
......
/EX
The user, or other FBB send a correction file.
----------------------------------------------
SP AUTO7P [@ BBS]
UTILITY\TEST.COR (or C01, C02 ....)
.....
CONTENTS OF THE CORRECTION FILE
.....
/EX
The user, or other FBB, upload a file.
--------------------------------------
SP AUTO7P [@ BBS]
UTILITY\TEST.7PL or .P01,P02 etc.
......
CONTENTS OF THE FILE
......
/EX
You should have noted that I have always written the path of the
source file : THIS IS THE ONLY WAY for AUTO7P to manage the automatic
file transfer. If you do not do this, the server cannot work properly.
ALWAYS SPECIFY THE SOURCE PATH.
