Hi Ian and all,

Now I'm confused, I don't see how AVG or defrag can remove kitty prints
(leftovers) or why Winpack would garble imported text. You must be doing
something wrong, I never had any problems copying those ASCII drawings
into the text file. The only problem I have seen was the occasional BBS
using word wrap with too low a characters per line setting. Sometimes one
will show up in a reply quote or somebody just plain copied it, then it
looks like someone took an axe to the Enterprise.

Wait a minute, if you're copying into Winpack's text editor it could be
problematical. If you can't compose a message with accented characters in
it likely it also screws up when they're imported. Try copying into the
text folder and see what happens. If that works as it well should just
click on the send (space shuttle) button to send it to the BBS. Oh, for
some reason it won't store a cntl Z so that you'll have do do from the
keyboard to complete the send.
