Hi Bob.
It sounds as though you have a few dishes.

I did once set up a 60cm dish on a rotator meant for a beam. That got me
channels from all over Europe and the Middle East (Camel racing fro Saudi
Arabia - in Arabic ?!) I didn't understand the Mid East channels. I have
fairly good French and german so they weren't so bad. I remember watching
the seroes highlander in German, caught up with a few episodes I missed
that way.

WE did have some people, including a ham friend of mine who could get the
channel called Red Hot Dutch by using a second LNB slightly offset from
the main one. My LNB would not let me go to it's frequency. The ham
station had a large house with large hedges, about 2m high so he could put
a 2.5m dish
on the ground with a sat rx box and anaughty bit of tech which would
reprogramme any sat card to enable it to decode any signal from anywhere.
I was with him at the ham rally when he bought that box etc at a price of
UKP 200, quite a reasonable price. I couldn't manage the dish, of course.
It is one of my big regretas that I didn't get that box and matching LNB.

The people who had the modified dishes and were watching Red Hot Dutch
(you can imagine what the programme content was) were very upset when the
UK government made them illegal and there was a big bust of people with 2
LNBs.That shows the British devotion to censorship ! I have been to the
Netherlands and such channels are available in most hotels but rapidly
become boring.

As for my ham friend, his huge dish was never spotted. He has since moved
probably to somewhere in Europe so I don't know what he watches now.

As I said in another bull: I hate all ball games so disable the sports
channls, that leaves me with F1, which I quite like and is on BBC for
free.

In Europe, the one big thing we have is the language problem so trying to
watch TV from over 30 countries is a bit difficult. I envy you getting
channels from all over Australia and further and all in English.

All the best.
