Even though I am in a good TV reception area with no QRM from vehicles or
the nearest factories which are over half a mile away, I had been getting
blocking, hiccups on sound and sometimes, even 'candy striping' and loss
of colour which used to be typical of a foulty reference oscil;lator on
analogue TV.
" All my own fault." I had thought until today while watching a segment of
the BBC news. The roving reporter was doing a piece which included
describing a local vocal group. He said: " they do hic hic and hic hic as
well as hic hic and hic hic, what do you think of that ?" To the to studio
presenters.
They said " probably very good but we couldn't tell what you were talking
about."
His mouth was pixelatated as he spoke which made them unable to lip read
either.
So it isn't all the fault of my DTB set top box, after all.
The BBC is constantly bragging about the quality of it's broadcasting and
tha, for a few Pounds extra we can even watch it in HD.
I wonder if you get less faults on HDTV ?
