Hi Warren et al,

I didn't realise that vibrators didn't care whether it was AC or DC. I was
too young at the time, and I wouldn't have had access to a
transformer anyhow.

Incidentally I still have the old car radio. The vibrator wore out
long ago, and was replaced with a power transistor multivibrator.

Yes I realise that radio piracy is still alive and well, but I think
we were mainly thinking about the medium wave pirate ships.
