Hello Ian and the rest following along ...
Read your ..I guess repeat of the history of TV in the UK, which went
along the lines that my father told me and his father, and family
of TV demonstrations in about 1920, and the various systems, but
then Ian you must realize that ....money speaks and influence
as to which system is used, and we see it so many times in history.
Very familar names indeed and I do remember the name Braid at U of T
in Toronto, as I think there is something there a memorial to him.
I also read about your comments on the tunable SAT box, which is what
I still have, for my C-Band monster in the back yard now up well
passed it's years...and working of PBS signals I watch. I would like
to get a digital box but I don't think they have the toys this has
to find signals , tune 'em in with LNB selection H or V and ...gee
my rotor still works. I also like the SKEW feature which I don't
see in newer versions. I might even ....oh I must say it, buy
a converter and put it on the dish for C Band to grab the digital
for the monitor TV...hahhahahahaa
See you on Skype, I see Bob VK6BE there too ... 73 Pete VE3WBZ
