Warren I would not blame anyone for being confused by you!! I don't know
hat the heck you are talking about sometimes when you jump from lily pad
to lily pad giving the resident frogs one heck of a fright and making
statements that don't seem to fit the topic under discussion. If you can't
produce the evidence I can say with confidence I know nothing about my
saying I could not receive any particular satellite. I get both Optus
satellites here, I don't receive Austar but it only repeats FOXTEL anyway
and I get that one. There are others but they carry programmes of various
kinds including much of our TV to the outback and I can receive those too
on the Optus satellites. End of story. As far as amateur satellites are
concerned I probably have done more than you. I lost interest in them at
around Oscar 6 or so. Not interested any longer. The first satellite I
listened to which only went "beep, beep" anyway was Sputnik one and
followed up with Sputnik 2. I then lost interest in listening to beeps.
With Sputnik 1 I used to listen and when I heard the signals coming up
we'd all run outside and watch it going across the sky. That was 53 years
ago.
I ignored the bit about Saturn as being typical drivel.
Cheers,
Bob VK6BE.

"When did I say I could not receive the satellite?"
A while back, but I don't download and save bulls nor am I going to sift
through a long list on the BBS just to quote something rather unimportant.
