The FOXTEL dish is about 18 inches in diameter and the Optus slightly
more, say 2 feet. Yes I kept it in imperial for you. If any council banned
these FOXTEL dish they would be thrown out at the next election as about
75% of their customers use FOXTEL and would not countenance being told to
take down the dish. Tha is democracy at work. And yes! In most town we can
still erect those towers and anteenae as long as there is no Council reg.
against them, as long as they are safe and you still have to check the
people next door to see ig they object. In this place most don't but then
they are used to seeing TV antennae in some places where there is no lcal
TV station, only big ugly twoers.

>It all depends on your point of view. For example let's say that those
wanting to erect towers and those big ugly antennas are a small and ever
shrinking minority especially when you consider the proliferation of
small satellite dishes. Bearing this in mind, should the Council ban the
BUD (big ugly C band dish) and those horrible looking windjammers, come
election time you'd be clearly outvoted.
