Hi Ian and all,

Good grief, that sounds like my morning trip to the bathroom. (;->) I
never dissected a Blue Ray CD but every DVD I've seen contains those IFO
and BUP files in the video folder while the audio folder is empty. The
sound must be encoded in there somewhere but I never bothered to
decompile one due to DILLIGAF. As far as I know they're all the same,
even the movies I have with Dutch subtitles.

Here's a quirky bit of interest, in Computerland information files
containing text have NFO extensions while those containing digital
commands that tell the computer or DVD player what to do with the BUP
files are IFO. Funny how an ISO has seemingly no connection to the
International Standards Organization but rather is an image file, that is
an image of the original whatever it may be. I hated them because they
don't play nice with computers, then I discovered WinRar decompiles them
and what's left is the file in its original format. <groan>

Oh, just for the heck of it put an old CD you don't want in the microwave
shiny side up and nule it for about 5-10 seconds. NO LONGER unless you
like melted plastic and a horrible stink every time you use the microwave
for the next 6 months.
