WHAT sounds like unsound engineering? Just a hint would help.
I haven't gotten on slot antennas due to a severe lack of knowledge based
on interest just about nil. If I saw a pictoral of a slot AE I could
probably scope it out though. I'm unsure of the time relationship between
you're building one for the 11M chicken band and the advent of aluminium
solder, just know if it sits unused too long the paste amalgam separates
and makes it useless. Oh I eventually repaired the broken antenna.
Speaking of boots, if your handle was Puss you'd confuse the heck out of
them. Back in my CB daze dual polarization quads became popular, I never
noticed a drastic change in signal strength when one went to the "flat
side". As frequency rises it becomes more and more noticible, there is
considerable difference on 10M but nothing spectacular, then above 30MHz
things get tricky and Felix has a ball.
