Hello Warren and all lurking along, and our cousins in UK ...well
they must be jealous or furious they are not allowed this.... Well
Warren is correct in siting near an airport and with the first
light or painted or both being at 100ft.
What we are , or were rabbling on about was home sites, on the home
and well lets face it, something like a monster-type tower
150 or 200 is not the norm. Like chickens, I'd want that beside
me too..ham CB or whatever ... bad enough the guywires but imagine
some ugly self supporting structure ...errr no.
What was the jist, was allowing anyone to erect a tower say to
60ft or 100ft at the home, to enjoy their TV or their hobby etc
and not have to put up with some town boohaas coming about to
jump up and down. already had that, and told them it was
Federal jurisdiction and I had at the time only 45ft of tower
so when they "----" me off...I took the top all the tower
I had here, and I think it is about 55-60ft.

Our HOAs have come and gone. Killed developments, are still I
think in courts or limbo....who knows...yet a square box multi
floor home was built at the top of our street, without a whimper
from them. I got sick of going to meetings of our local HOAs.
As for parking, I heard over in the nearby town, they objected to
RV and boats in the driveway, even if they didn't block the
sidewalk. Go figure... as it looks like kiddy-time with he
has a RV or boat and I don't so I'm going to make it bad for
him via the HOA.

Our Health Care in CANADA was never seen by Mr. Tommy Douglas
as a political football, or his leanings ,but to see to it that
everyone in CANADA had access to Health Care.
It isn't socialism or a commie plot as we hear from the south,
and then since it is a government plan , administered by the
provinces < any province was allow to opt out...they didn't>.
What the heck ... unemployed.... or retired on pension there
is either a Un-employment cheque from the Government or
in Old Age... Old Age Security Cheque and I never have seen
them calling them some socialist commie plot.

Warren, and friends we are going thru some hard times, and it looks
like more on the way, and some countrys will suffer more from lessons
from last time not heeded.
This switch to HDTV here has place many seniors I know having to
spend $ 100 or more on these converters to enjoy their TVs. Nothing
if you are working, and raises and overtime...but not to a senior
on fixed pension from yesteryear... 100 is a big chunk of that
monthly cheque from the Government.
Anyhow .... oh dear..I see the sun ..or something in the clouds.
So I am going out to enjoy the rain and this ...maybe chance to
see the sun as it sets and all that good stuff...and close the
day with a smile..and a who cares, and so what...press on regardless
chip chip chin up and all that ....
