I guess it depends where you live over here. Antennas and towers
and masts are regulated by the Federal Government, not the local
council.
As for the Home Owners Associations..here in CANADA ...they have tried
in the past to do away with Towers and Masts of CB'ers and Hammies
alike to no avail, except they are given false security and false
success by the town councils who try to bluff a victim to take down
his mast -tower and antennas, if they know they can get away with it
as well trying to pass laws to that effect.
The big plus now, is in new developments where first time buyers
sign an agreement ...no towers ...so the development is wired
for cable ...thus no need for a tower....but hey...whatabout
the CB'er and HAM. Had that happen...one owner put up a tower
and they went nuts. He won...still is up there.

As for the dish. The C-band super large dish was grey area up here
because of programming being sought in the USA. The rumours were
they were being forced removed from owners who put'em up. I did
it, during that period and never heard boo. Even the small pizza
dish that so many now have....2 or 3 or more.... no one cares.

The war is over here in CANADA. I can put up bigger towers if I
want. I could not care less what the local Town Council says.
In fact when I first got interested in getting a tower up...just
over the rain gutters, there was the bylaw guy.... have to take
it down...huh? I am well below what the Federal Government says
and I don't need a light, nor am I near an airport...etc... get lost
so I slapped the extra section on top to bring it to 60ft...telling
him he encouraged me to go big <or the sections I had here at the house>.
Never heard from them again, only hear other incidents and well
these people have their towers, some bigger and some smaller,
and then I heard from UK and folks like Ian G0TEZ...and I want to
go there...and do battle .

These governments have to be reminded. And how they allowed UK
to become like this can only be fallout from the war days, and the
cold war, when politicians have tried to run everyones lives.
I am told I will end up in the Tower of London... well "ok" I
don't mind starting another Radio Caroline type revolution
so let me have my room in the tower...and I'll bring some
great 100Ft monster tower for the top of the Tower of London
and let the beefeaters sign QSL cards for me and perform other
tasks as I battle the politicians.
PS: CAn I have that really haunted tower for my base station site?
That would be so so kool...
Aaaah gotta go... BBQing the chicken on the BARBIE
