Hi Misko.

Yes, "connected/data transfer modes" was tested on QO-100 many time ago,
but as always now - very low interest of people.

Not sure about success Pactor use - possible signal latency is too big,
typically Pactor can solve latency up to 20000km and to 40000km
for "long path" mode.

QO-100 latency is about 0.2sec
(2x ~30000+km, signal to come SAT and then to come Earth again).
Its more of two times than Pactor can handle.

But other 'connected modes' with not critical ARQ-cycle should go well,
if no problem with QRG stability (GPSDO oscillator is mandatory).

There are some winlink2000 e-mail'ers still QRV in VARA-SAT mode, see:
https://winlink.org/content/is0grb_winlink_server_qo_100_geostationary_sat_26°est_dial_10489635_mhz_usb

Also G8BPQ, EI2GYB and some other experiments with 300, 1200 bps packet AX/FX25 and IL2P
on 10489.630 MHz, just try listen with any QO-100 web-sdr.

73, Sergej.
