MUSEUMS ON THE AIR.
Museums on the Air this year will be 16/17 and 23/24 June 2012.
GB2RAF 5010 will be operational on Sat 16th therefore GB2RAF will
be operational on the third Saturday in June not the second Saturday.

a) Both of the call signs will be active from 21 Signal Regiment (Air
Support) Training Wing at Colerne Wiltshire wef 11th to 17th June 2012
inclusive. QSL route both calls via the three Service Societies, RSGB, or
Direct only with a SSAE please as advised at the time of the QSO.
A special QSL card will be available but a SSAE or a 2nd class stamp is
required from those who wish to receive a card.
b) GB21FCB will be reactivated again from 1st October to 30th November
inclusive from a location, post code SO53 1FJ, near Eastleigh.
c) GB4SHF will be reactivated again from 1st to 30th November inclusive
from a location, post code NG9 5LB, near Beeston.

is your area pop over even if its only for a few hours of your time, I am

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
De-brief Sat 10 February 2012. Antenna serviced and checked - all correct.
Only 13 stations worked. Conditions Good until 1200 when a PA Contest
started and from then on it was impossible as the contest took over all
the Bands and the Frequencies.
RAFARS Members on the 1100 RAFARS Net G3RAF/A G3YSG G2AFV G3AZW G3SDZ
then G7BQM and G0RGB R/Sigs Controller further down the log.
CQ CW DX 14.055 at 1200-1215. HA5AJ IZ6TGS S51CL and IT9NQM
CQ CW on 3.567 at 1300-1315 No Reply.
GB2RAF applied for GQ2RAF (the Queen's Diamond Jubilee) but it was not
approved by Ofcom.
GB2RAF will be operational for Museums on the Air, Jun 16, instead of the
usual 2nd Sat.
GB2RAF will be operational normally every 2nd Sat of the month.
Primary Frequency 3.710Mhz but if 80m is down we will be found on 7.065Mhz.
Any RAFARS Member can operate the station but contact Terry G4PSH first
for your licence Call-sign confirmation and please bring an ID with you.

The editorial team have finished drafting the Spring 2012 edition which is
off to the printers very soon.
The editor G0TAK, is already looking for your articles, snippets, stories
and pictures for the autumn and future editions of QRV.

The system used now is that when a manned spacecraft is sent to the ISS it
remains at the ISS until the next return schedule so, if anything should
go wrong, they have a means of escape my using the module back to earth.
Note - All Soyuz lift off are from Baikonur Cosmodrome, in Kazakhstan.
All missions are subject to delays.
If there are any members who wish to obtain ISS naked eye visual passes
