URGENT NEWS FLASH. RAFARS MEMBERS YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED
AND AN AMENDMENT TO QRP CONVENTION.
Friday/Saturday 2nd/3rd OCTOBER 2009
National Hamfest at Newark Showground, Nott's NG24 2NY.
Peter G0NVY Lincs Field Rep urgently requires assistance at the planned
RAFARS Stand at the National Hamfest.
Peter will be aiming to get on the site on the Friday as near 0730hrs as
possible. He will be transporting the Field Day kit to the site along with
some commodities for sale and display. A Radio Station will be operating
but help is required to erect a tent/gazebo and necessary antennas. Peter
will also need some help to dismantle the RAFARS stand and radio station
on the Saturday afternoon.
Please, if there are any RAFARS Members that can help, if its only for a
few hours of your time, contact Peter today <peter@g0nvy.wanadoo.co.uk>
or via QRZ call book QTHr.
I know that a lot of organising has been done for this big RSGB Hamfest so
let us give Peter the support he needs to make it a successful Event/Stand
for RAFARS.
Peter cannot do it all on his own, but he will be 'on site' to welcome any
members who can assist on the Friday and/or Saturday..

Amend date to read 24 Oct not 18th Oct as stated in previous NLs.
