In the Nov NL AGM Report it only quoted that Richie 2740 G0RHJ had joined
the RAFARS Council. He was elected RAFARS Chairman at the Council meeting
on 18th Nov. Apologies from News Desk for lack of information.

100 YEARS OF THE FLEET AIR ARM.
RNARS will be Operational with the SES GB100FAA from the
7 May to the 15 May 09 from HMS Collingwood.
19 May to 21 May 09 from RNAS Yeovilton.
This is to celebrate 100 years of the Fleet Air Arm.
Primary Freq. will be SSB 3.740 7.055 14.294/335 CW 3.520 7.020 14.052
Yeovilton will be one day CW another day SSB and the third day mixed mode.
It is also hoped that 2m will be operational from both stations.

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
NOTE GB2RAF will NOT be Operational on the 13 June (Second Saturday)
but will be Operational on Sat 20th June for Museums On The Air.
De brief for 11 Apr 09. Number of contacts 38. Radio conditions good.
GB2RAF joined the 1100 RAFARS Net and direct contacts made with G4PFR and
GI4SAM, we then QSYd and rejoined 3.710 at 1133. RAFARS Members worked
GB2BP GB2IWM G0SDZ G8LUV G4WRU. One good contact was with M0RAZ/MM on
the river Taymar Cornwall in a 41ft Catamaran Yacht (not rafars).
The Station closed at 1444UTC.
This month I had 2 Cadets from 1132 Sqn (RAFARS 4100) with me who are
taking there ATC Radio Communicator (Spider badge)
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500hrs local on
RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
