Clatsop
Requested a number for the activation of their EOC due to the extreme
weather.
UPDATE: 12/7/07 0700 - Clatsop County is trying to move their EOC phone
calls to the jail to be staffed 24 hours a day, and have the EOC open from
0700 to 2400 hrs beginning today (Friday).
70% power restored in County, but still many towns without power.
Clatsop County awaiting drop off of supplies assigned to DAS, including
urgently needed first aid kits and tarps for roofs and windows. Still
raining.
Debris handling issues for county are still being developed. update
12/8/07 1000 - EOC will be open into next week, then day by day.
Two storm related deaths, several injuries, will update number later.
Priorities are: getting power back on, clearing roads, telephones working,
damaged housing protected form weather.
County is moving to recovery mode.
ARC ramping down but shelter and meals still available.
Shuttling livestock to fairgrounds.
911 rerouted to Columbia County fro Napa and Westport.
