__________________________________________________________________________

RAFARS 75TH ANNIVERSARY 2013
Roy G0TAK is appointed by Council to take care of publicity matters
relating to the society. This does not mean however that other members of
the society or affiliated clubs and groups cannot, or should not, promote
their activities within the local press, by electronic means, or in the
'Trade' magazines related to amateur radio such as , Practical Wireless,
RadCom, On the air, or by your local club newsletter or journal.
In today's climate of cutbacks and recession our society needs to promote
itself as an active society, well worth joining and supporting.
Leading up to and during our 75th anniversary year 2013, Council would
like to suggest that as many members as possible circulate information
about their activities to as many outlets as possible always remembering
to include the information that they are a RAFARS member and that the
society celebrates its 75th birthday next year.
Remember that some publishers have an upto 2 month lead in to a print run,
so get your copy in ASAP.

The main outlets are:
Elaine Richards elaine.richards@rsgb.org.uk for the RSGB
Rob Mannion rob@pwpublishing.ltd.uk
Carl Mason's HF Highlights in PW gw0vsw@btinternet.com
Our 'own' Pete Rayer, ISWL member dx_newsdesk@yahoo.co.uk
and of course Terry's e-mail newsletter and the society website via the
Webmaster, Gary G0DNI.

If you would like advice on the suitability of any item for submission,
proofreading it or bashing it into shape for publication then the QRV
editor will be happy to assist you by e-mail..

It is also proposed that during the 75th year we replace the normal
amateur radio greetings of 73 (72 if you play QRP) with a new 'shout' of
75 between RAFARS members.

If you have any questions or suggestions please get in touch with the QRV
editor, Roy G0TAK QTHr or email g0tak@kencomp.net, or call any member of
Council"
