RAFARS AGM AND DINNER SATURDAY 27 OCT 2012.
The AGM will be held in the Flowerdown Building at DCA Cosford WV7 3EX
M54 Junction 3 on Saturday 27 Oct at 1330hrs.
The AGM Dinner will be held on the Saturday Evening, 1930 for 2000hrs, at
Greys Hotel, Forge Gate, Telford TF3 4NA, M54 J5. Cost of Dinner #25pp.
If you wish to stay at the hotel, phone bookings 01952-425000 or book on-
line. A double room (B&B) is #57 and a single is #50.
Some members will also have dinner and a chat on The Friday Evening.
As before Terry G4PSH will be on 144.725 FM Fri/Sat/Sun when available.
Full details and forms are in the Autumn 2012 QRV Journal which you should
have received by now. Would Members who are unable to attend the AGM also
fill in and return the form to HQRAFARS.
RNARS COVENTRY SOCIAL EVENT SEPTEMBER 2012.
Friday to Sun 14-16 Sept 2012 RNARS are holding a Social Event in Coventry
which is open to all. It consists of a Gala Dinner on the Sat. evening and
in the afternoon a visit to the National Memorial Arboretum.

RAFARS QRV JOURNAL.
2013 is the 75th anniversary of your Society. In the Spring edition of QRV
the editor, Roy G0TAK, proposes not only to reflect the anniversary but to
look forward to the future by including articles from ATC cadets, our next
generation, as well as reminiscences of members.
If you have an idea for an article please contact him to discuss it ASAP.
Roy also needs the usual input of Articles, Rally Reports, Pictures, Feed-
back on previous event/items, etc.
Whatever you send, if it is RAF/Radio/Amateur oriented, then it will be
considered. If you want QRV, (an award winning amateur radio journal),
then your input is vital to its continued success.

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
De-brief- Not operational 11 Aug 2012 due to G4PSH XYL Birthday.
GB2RAF will be operational normally every 2nd Sat of the month. Primary
frequency is 3.710Mhz but if 80m is down we can be found on 7.055Mhz plus.
Any RAFARS Member can operate the station but contact Terry G4PSH first
to clear it with RAFARS Membership and the Museum Manager.
GB2RAF is for RAFARS Members to operate when ever you wish on Tues,
Thur or the 2nd Sat of every month 1000-1600hrs.
GB2MC RAFARS 4669 CAR BOOT
The Muckleburgh Military Collection at Weyborne Norfolk NR25 7EG will be
holding a Car Boot sale on Sat 9 Sept 2012 1000-1600hrs
We have our radio museum housed in a hut on the site and is well worth a

With RAFARS 75 years anniversary in 2013, all Squadrons affiliated to
RAFARS are inviting to take part in the celebrations. The primary date for
the SES Weekend will be the 1st April 2013.

When Active the following Permanent SES can give out points for AOTA
GB2RAF, GB2HAM, GB2VQJ, GB2CWP GB0SMA and GB2MC.
News Desk has not been advised of any other AOTA Activities to date.
Do not forget only AOTA stations registered with RAFARS can give out
points for the RAFARS Certificates.
The first week in April 2013 is the next major events for AOTA.
