Anyone willing to take a stab at why these 2 TNC's will not send out
packet tone audio but will key radio? Read on:

2 different - MFJ 1270C (Revision 11 boards) with Version 2.2 EPROMS

	*Both TNC's will power on
*Will boot up and display cmd: prompt after MFJ Version info
*PC to TNC communication is fine
*TNC will key TX on radio
*AUDIO on TX is NOT packet bursts!
*The audio that is transmitted sounds more like a single high
pitched tone that is emitted non-stop until the TX is unkeyed.
*By all appearances, the TNC is working properly, but will not
supply correct audio output.
*TNC to PC baud rate has been tried at 1200 and 9600 (dip switches 2,
and 4)
*Dip switch 7 is "on" for 1200 baud radio tx
*Have tried "opposites positions" on dip switches (after reading that
one)
*Have tried multiple resets, and verified all jumpers are in
default positions on board

Still no luck. Single high pitched tone (almost squeal pitch) is emitted
during each transmit. Am I missing something here? There is no presence of
packet bursts, just the high pitched tone. Any ideas to share?

Thanks and 73's,
