Hi Rod and all,
the etelnet command is available when Jnos was compiled with
MD5AUTHENTICATE #define'd.
I've never tried that kind of JNOS forwarding, so let me know
the results and the /spool/forward.bbs setup in particular.
The complete 'directions' and your original msg follow.

etelnet <host> [<port_number>] loginid password
The 'etelnet' command is similar to the telnet command (which see), but
it accepts the login id and password to be provided to the <host>
system. The etelnet command is available when Jnos was compiled with
MD5AUTHENTICATE #define'd. Etelnet will encrypt the password if the
<host> system supports MD5 authentication (as indicated by a
[hex_number] challenge value in its password prompt). If no such
challenge is provided, the password is sent "in the clear".
If you are telnetting to a port/service that does not provide a password
prompt, then 'telnet' should be used instead of 'etelnet'.

Does anybody know how to get eTelnet going on JNOS2. Have looked at CONFIG.H &
cannot find any option to define.
eTelnet will allow me to send a password with Telnet when using MBOX ALIAS.
By the way the JNOS TAPA site rejected my bulletin, even thou one has been a
member for over 20 years to the JNOS forum. Must be somthing wrong there.
Wonder if anybody has a solution.
