Hi Jim!
While Ubuntu is using GNOME as default-windowmanager etc. Kubunutu is using the
KDE-stuff as default. KDE is very popular in Europe. That's the most important
difference. Ubuntu and Kubuntu use the same repositories for updating and
installing new/other software.
