The Rules of the MARITIME RADIO DAY
 2 0 0 9   

1). Date and duration

1200 UTC 11th April 2009 to 1200 UTC 12th April 2009

2). Entry categories

a). Country Coast Station.

Each participating maritime nation will be able to run stations representing
their former main coast station E.g. GKA, PCH, DAN etc.
The number of radio-station is open for each country.

b). Single operator former Radio Officer

c). Multiple operator former Radio Officers only.

d). Single radio amateur.

e). Multiple operators. .

3). Bands

160m, 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m & 10m

4). Mode

CW

5). Power

100w except for Country Coast Stations.

6). Exchange.

a). Radio Officers exchange QSA plus callsign of last ship/aircraft (if only
operated at a coast station then the callsign of the coast station followed by
the last letter of own callsign). Categories B and C must only use one ship
call sign.

b). Radio amateurs QSA and serial number ( multiple operator stations using
only one call sign).

  c) QSO example :

7). 500kc/s SILENCE PERIODS WILL BE OBSERVED AND LOGGED.

During the silence periods we have to stop trafic
in all MRD frequencies
Silence periods ; h+15 to h+18 - h+45 to h+48
Note –  silence periods have been included in this in order to provide some
recollection of the silence periods we used.

8). Points.

Full exchange with Country Coast Station            5 points

Ship to ship callsigns                                              3 points

Ship to amateur or amateur to ship                       2 points

Amateur to amateur                                                1 point

Multiplier

Each maritime nation contacted (includes flags of convenience Panama etc.) a
list of multipliers will be printed and on the web site. Multipliers apply once
only regardless of band worked.

Accuracy is important and 2 points will be deducted for inaccurate ships call
signs being logged, Failure to observe and log silence periods will result in a
deduction of 50 points and if persistently noted may lead to disqualification.
( Check logs and referees will be monitoring the bands).

9).Awards.

A certificate will be awarded to the operator(s) of the stations .
At least of the RADIOMARITIME DAY 2009 with dead line June 1th 2009
every body wants receive RADIOMARITIME DAY 2009 AWARD has to be sending by
e-mail enquiery with LOG REPORT to F6DGU@free.fr.
Then F6DGU AWARD MANAGER will send by mail the AWARD.

10). Entries and logs and examples of logs

All entries must be accompanied by the entry form which can be found on the web
site at www.radiomaritimeday.org.

Every Country are managing their LOG REPORT

At least of the RADIOMARITIME DAY 2009 with dead line May 1th 2009
all LOG REPORT FORM in EXCEL forma WITH POINTS (total for each radio-station
and operator complying with rules of radiomaritime day 2009) have to be
submitted to F6DGU@cyberelec.fr

Then F6DGU webmaster of the official MRD website will publish the result of
contest on line www.radiomaritimeday.org

11) QSL cards

Every country and every radio-station will be managing each own QSL card
receiving and sending directly.
there is not qsl manager in the radiomaritime day 2009.

1824 khz, 3520 khz, 7020 khz, 14052 khz,
21052 khz, 28052 khz
