Telegraphy contests
The HSC Contest
Date Last Sunday in February and first Sunday in November.
* First periode from 9 to 11 UTC
* Second periode from 15 to 17 UTC
HSC Contests 2009 are on February 22nd and November 1st, 2009.
HSC Contests 2010 are on February 28th and November 7th, 2010.
Frequencies 3.5 MHz, 7.0 MHz, 14 MHz, 21 MHz und 28 MHz (10 to 30 kHz above lower band edge preferred)
Mode CW only
Stations to work All. Every station may be worked once per band and period.
Category
* 1 - HSC members (max. 150 watts HF output)
* 2 - Non-members (max. 150 watts HF output)
* 3 - Members and non-members QRP (max. 5 watts HF output)
* 4 - SWLs (members and non-members)
Report HSC-members: RST and HSC membership number, e.g. 599/1730. Non-members RST and NM, e.g. 599/NM. Exchange of serial numbers is not needed.
QSO points
* 5 point per QSO with a member of the HSC of 1951.
* 1 point per QSO with a non-member.
Summary Result = Sum of QSO points.
Log files Log files via E-Mail or floppy disks. ASCII text files or files of common contest computer software like LM, CT, QW, PCProfiLog are welcome, ADIF, STF file format preferred. E-mail log entries are valid only after confirmation by the contest manager. Send an SASE to the Contest Manager for getting a printed results list. The results are published on this web site.
How to submit your logs to the HSC Contest Manager via e-mail:
* Subject line of your e-mail: Call sign and class of participation.
* Appended log file: Name it call sign only, i.e. dl0hsc.log or dl0hsc.adi. Please do not call it hsc-contest-log12008 or something like that.
* Please submit one single log file only containing all necessary data.
Submissions that disregard these requirement are switched to class 2 (non-members). SWL should keep in mind, that the same station need to appear in the log only five times (maximum) per period and band.
Deadline for all logs is 6 weeks after the contest (postmark).

Award Since 1998 HSC rewards the "HSC Contestchampion Of The Year". Therefore, you have to win both contests in the year. Changing the category is allowed, you may combine any. The winner receives a special award donated by HSC. Every participant receives a special QSL card via the bureau.
