JANUARY SPRINT RULES
The January Feld Hell Sprint will be our first-ever 24-hour Sprint. The goal of this Sprint is simple: contact as many American states as possible in a 24-hour period.
DATE: January 17th
TIME: 0000Z - 2400Z
MODES: All modes of Hell are allowed
BANDS: All non-WARC bands are allowed
EXCHANGE: RST, FH #, QTH (ONLY GIVE STATE, PROVINCE, COUNTRY UNLESS YOUR
TOWN HAS THE SAME NAME AS A STATE. SEE TIEBREAKER POINTS FOR DETAILS)
POINTS (PLEASE READ - THEY ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THIS MONTH): 1 point for your first Hell QSO in each of the 50 U.S. states. The QSO does NOT have to be with a member of the club. (Again - there are no extra points for a QSO with a feld Hell Club member this month.) The winner has contacted the most U.S. states
TIEBREAKER POINTS:
1) 1 BONUS POINT FOR YOUR FIRST QSO ON EACH BAND WITH WW1FHC, THE CLUB CALLSIGN, WHICH WILL BE USED BY DAVID, WB2HTO IN MASSACHUSETTS, WHO CAME IN SECOND IN THE DECEMBER SPRINT.
2) 1 bonus point for your first Hell QSO with a ham in each town, village, or city that has the same name as one of the U.S. States. Ex: Vermont, Wisconsin. (We have some qualifying towns with 2 hams so QSOs with both will count) A list of qualifying towns below, if you know of others feel free to email the Contest Manager. The most tiebreaker points wins.
IN THE EVENT WE STILL HAVE A TIE: If two or more entries have the same # of states AND tiebreaker points, the winner will be the one with more total QSOs (members or non-members)

Congratulations to Pete (FH008) who, as WW1FHC, took first place in NA and Jose, EA5FL (FH1248) who took first in the DX category in our December "North Pole" Sprint. Following is the complete list of entries and scores. Looks like just about everyone contacted the club station (WW1FHC) but there were no North Pole contacts and only two stations indicating QSOs with entities above the Artic Circle...
