I thoroughly enjoyed reading your thoughts in the above paragraph, and
you sure hit the nail right square on the head.
Makes me think you're a bit of a muso yourself, or do you just have the
knack of identifying good sounds from different instruments etc. ?

Yep, that's for sure.
The four EL34s in my 100 watt Marshall bass amp, are so flat now that even
the light switch on the front panel, is dim :-(
(A very scarce tube to get hold of in these parts).
I've been using a 400 watt solid state Peavey, in place of the 100 watt
Marshall, but somehow, it just does not have the oomph like that of the
Marshall - (strange but true). Yes, it does have good attack and clarity
but falls out the buss for the rest.
I'll try and IrfanView / compress a pic of me in the duo, and try and
7Plus it to you (or this group).

It's a fabulous day here in Cape Town - 12h15 and I'm off to rustle me up
something to knaw on.

Cheers all (till L8r)

Regards
Eldrebassded

Hey what's up fellas - (no Google goggling from the goffling gum Google
groupie) ?
