Hi John and the Norton Plague victims,
That must be the WORST bit of software ever invented by an evil mind!
Getting to the point, CCleaner is a good cleanup program, mine runs at
startup so I always start with a clean slate, no leftover junk from the
last session. HOWEVER there is no guarantee that anything short of a
swami can charm Norton and command it to leave. If push comes to shove
and it usually does the cat tracks may have to be removed manually by
someone who knows where to find them, the average user should NEVER tread
the muck of the registry.
Good luck and I mean that most sincerely, Norton is crap to begin with
and notoriously difficult to remove.
