Dave VK2AWZ had problems with SATA and reinstalling Windows XP.
The real problem is that Microsoft in their wisdom did not include the
SATA drivers in their XP instalation CD.
With some BIOSs it is possible to change SATA drives to run in IDE
compatability mode, but not all BIOSs have that option.
You will then be able to re-install your XP operating system but still stuck
with IDE compatability mode which doesn't let you have the full benefits of
the SATA drive.
